Cakes that come out perfect: three unmissable recipes

 


Baking a cake is not difficult. But not everything is purchased dough and putting what I have in the refrigerator: we can take them to another level. Starting with an easy dough and continuing with 3 incredible fillings, we change the menu for you.

 

Simple homemade dough

Ingredients (for a 24 cm pan): 2 tea-size cups of white or whole wheat flour without raising agent. 1 and a half cups of water (add little by little as the flour absorbs) and 1/3 cup of neutral oil. Salt. 

Arrange the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the water little by little in the center, and stir with a wooden spoon to integrate the dough. Add the oil and continue mixing, until the dough comes off the bowl but is not too soft. Sprinkle with a little flour and let it rest for 15 minutes. Then take to the oiled pan, place on the scepter and stretch with oiled hands until the entire surface and edges are covered with a layer of thin and even dough. Reserve.

 

 

Filling 1: Onion and cheese

Ingredients: 3 medium or 2 large onions, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 / cup of cheese (can be semi-hard or hard) grated, salt, pepper or nutmeg.

Sauté the onion cut into a "feather" (very fine) in a frying pan with a little oil and salt. It should be very soft and slightly golden. Let cool. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, season and add the cheese. Stir well.

Put the onion in the tart dough and cover with the egg and cheese mixture. Bake everything over high heat for about half an hour. 

 

Filling 2: Leek and ham

Ingredients: 3 medium leeks washed and cut (include the part of the leaves that is well healthy). 4 eggs, 100 g of heavy cream, salt, pepper, 200 g of cooked ham cut into pieces or cubes. 

Beat the eggs with the cream and seasonings. Reserve. Cook the leeks cut into thin slices, until they lose rigidity (it can be steamed or sautéed). Once they have cooled a bit, arrange the leeks and ham on the tart dough, then add the egg and cream mixture, bake over high heat for half an hour, checking after 20 minutes.

 

Filling 3: Mediterranean

Ingredients: 500 g of various grilled vegetables: aubergines, peppers, zucchini, zucchini. (Place 1 cm slices of these vegetables on an oiled griddle and cook until they lose rigidity and brown. The peppers can be cut in half and grilled.) 5 eggs. Minced garlic, 1 clove. aromatic herbs to taste, salt, pepper. 3 tablespoons grated hard or semi-hard cheese. 

The grilled vegetables are cut into pieces and distributed over the dough, adding the raw minced garlic and herbs. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Beat the eggs and beat the vegetables, distributing well. Take to the oven and cook for fifteen minutes. Remove from the oven and pour the grated cheese on the cake to integrate, melt and gratin. leave for 15 to 20 minutes more, until all the filling is cooked and the dough looks golden.
